Biography

Seoyun Kim, born in Gimcheon, South Korea, is the co-founder and vice president of the youth climate action organization COOLIMATE. She has been actively engaged in research and practice for climate justice. She developed climate education programs for youth in the Seoul metropolitan and Gangwon regions, and is currently studying Human Ecology at Lund University in Sweden. Internationally, she led a climate education project in Madagascar, which included program development and teacher training. She represented South Korea as a youth delegate at the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), where she also co-hosted an Asia-Africa networking session. She is currently serving as the organizer of the 2025 Local Conference of Youth (LCOY Korea).
