Dr. KIM Yonggi is an associate research fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute in Korea. He received his B.S. from POSTECH and Ph.D. from the Seoul National University. He was a researcher at the Yonsei University Social Science Research Institute, a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Public Finance, and served as a project officer for UNDP YSLME. His main research interests include emerging technology industry innovation policy, AI chip industry, deep-tech eco system, and International collaboration. The present year's research is oriented towards the issue of carbon neutral innovation in the context of the expansion of the artificial intelligence industry. His recent publications include: “Fostering measures through analysis of the growth factors of domestic AI semiconductor companies” (2024. in Korean), “A Study on Global Critical and Emerging Technologies Cooperation Strategy in the Indo-Pacific Region” (2024 in Korean), and “A Study on the Strategy for Attracting Advanced Technology Companies” (2022 in Korean).
