PARK June Hyung is a teacher at Jeocheong Elementary School in Jeju, South Korea. He developed and currently leads a place-based curriculum titled Flower of the Village, which explores local nature, community, and history. He focuses on integrating memory drawings of Im Kyong Jae into teaching, not only to convey the village’s history but also to foster peace and human rights education. At the 2025 Jeju Forum, he will share insights into the educator’s role as a “bearer of memory”.
