Biography

KANG Seonjou is a professor at Korea National Diplomatic Academy since 2007. Her research centers on rules-based international order (RBIO), global governance, geo-economics of the Indo-Pacific, and middle power diplomacy. Her widely cited in-house papers include “The 2024 Brazil G20 Summit: The Unconventionality of the Summit and Its Uncertain Future,” “Finalizing the IPEF: A New U.S. Paradigm for Trade and Its Implications,” “The 2023 G7 Summit: The G7 Regroups and Charts a New Course for the World”. She also published academic research in Korean Journal of International Studies (2020, 2015), European Journal of Political Research (2007), The Journal of Politics (2005), and Journal of Peace Research (2004). She received her Ph.D. in political science from Michigan State University in 2000. Her other degrees are B.A. in international relations and M.A. in political science both from Seoul National University in Korea.
