He has been engaged in journalism since 1996, when he began his career as a reporter for KBS in Jeju. Throughout his career, he has produced in-depth reports focusing on the social conflicts arising from large-scale development projects within Jeju society. In 2022, he was awarded a Ph.D. in Tourism Studies for his dissertation entitled "The Tragedy of Tourism Commons in the Dolphin Tourism of Jeju Island." He is currently the host of both a television debate program and a radio current affairs program at KBS Jeju.
