Biography

KIM Dohhui is the Director of the Liberation Politics Institute at "Animal Liberation Wave", a leading animal rights organization in South Korea. She also serves as Chair of the "Animal Rights Subcommittee of the Environmental Health Committee" at MINBYUN – Lawyers for a Democratic Society, and as Co-representative of "Lawyers for Animal Rights". She has been involved in creative projects with the collective "Stories, Animals, and Poetry (SAP)", contributing to works such as "The Animal Party Manifesto" and "Extinction–Pandemic Era: A Political Declaration by the Animals". Her work spans litigation, legislation, academic research, public lectures, and artistic collaborations related to animal rights. Kim is the author of "Normal Anima" and a co-author of "A Kind Law for Animals" and "Extinction". She shares her life with two feline companions: Bori, a jealous yet laid-back cat, and Namu, a reserved but pleasure-seeking cat. She dreams of a society where animals are recognized as legal persons and where an "Animal Party" thrives in the political arena.
