SHIN Jaeeun

Biography

SHIN Jaeeun completed her studies in Social Welfare at the Soongsil University and international development cooperation for her Master’s degree and Ph.D. at the Kyunghee University. She is a distinguished figure in international development cooperation and civil society. She has almost 20-years-work experience in a non-governmental development organization (NGDO) in Korea, specifically in the field of international development cooperation. Concurrently, she has served as Director of the Policy Center of the Korean NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation since 2010. She has focused on the development of partnerships between government and CSOs. Besides she serves as not only a member of several committees for the Korean government such as the Office for Government Policy Coordination, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Export-Import Bank of Korea, but also as a Vice President at the Korea Association for International Development and Cooperation (KAIDEC). Shin’s dedication is reflected not only in her professional roles, but also in her extensive research contributions, addressing critical issues in civil society, development cooperation, and NGO accountability.
