Biography

He is a professor at Yonsei University's Graduate School of International Studies. After graduating from Cornell University's Department of Economics, he earned a doctorate in business administration from Stanford University. He served as an assistant professor at Austin University in Texas, a researcher at Stanford University's Hoover Institute, Yonsei University's Underwood International University, the head of the International Affairs Department, and the head of the Graduate School of International Studies. While studying and lecturing on the international political economy and globalization, I was able to get a glimpse into the secrets of attractive cities around the world that attract companies and talents. He realized that the future of the region depends on how he develops the unique charm of the city into a lifestyle, and that alleyways can be the most important resource of the city. In the existing Korean urban culture represented by new city culture, alleyways have not had many opportunities to become an important subject of the national economy, but as the alley culture of major cities such as Seoul has recently revived, the government and local governments are also making efforts to secure the competitiveness of alleyways. Currently, he is the chairman of the Seoul Future Council, the member of the Chungcheongnam-do Economic Vision Committee, the Daejeon City Policy Advisory Committee, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, serving as the 10th-term general PM for themed travel to Korea, participating in the establishment of cultural and tourism policies in major cities in Korea. Major books include Lifestyle City, Small City Large Enterprise, and Immigration Power.
