SONGHEANG Ai was referred to by SEAMEO colleagues as “a director of SEAMEO TED whose expertise is technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in the ASEAN region”. As a TVET expert, Dr. Ai offers a unique perspective on regional and international issues, including teacher education and training, human resources management, and digital transformation. Consistently an active scholar in TVET, SONGHEANG Ai has published some research journal articles, book chapters and served as a keynote and guest speaker for some regional and internation conferences. Director SONGHEANG Ai’s status as a leader in regional education and human resources management influences his positions as the editorial board member of TVET@sia journal https://tvet-online.asia/23/tvetasia-issue-23-international-research-cooperation-on-tvet/ and academic board member of East Asia Management University. In addition, he is a member of the International Advisory Board (IAB) of the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE). He is also an adjunct professor at some universities.
