JUNG Byunggyu was born in Hapcheon, Gyeongnam on March 1, 1968. After graduating from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University, he was appointed as a civil servant through the administrative examination and is currently working at the Office for Government Policy Coordination. While working in various fields in the government, including the economic and social sectors, he has come up with various innovative ideas and executed policies. In particular, he has gained a lot of experience in evaluating government policies and in regulatory reform, and has created many meaningful results. He is also interested in science and technology policies, and received a doctorate in public administration from Hanyang University with a thesis that clarified the characteristics of challenging R&D.
