CHUN Jin-Sung is a Professor at Busan National University of Education. He obtained his doctoral degree from Humboldt University in Berlin, where he focused on the West German Strukturgeschichte. His dissertation was published by R. Oldenbourg Verlag in 2000. His research interests include the intellectual history of modern Germany, historical theory, and the theory of memory and visual culture. Currently, he is studying the cultural transfer from Germany to Korea via Japan, with a focus on the idea of architectural and urban space. The title of his most recent book is Imaginary Athens: Urban Space and Memory in Berlin, Tokyo, and Seoul (Routledge, 2021).
