Biography

LEE Hawon served as the Washington, D.C. Bureau Chief and later as the Tokyo Bureau Chief for nearly seven years, during which he wrote in-depth articles focusing on the relationships among the United States, Japan, and the two Koreas. He was later seconded to TV Chosun, where he served as Political News Director and main news anchor. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Korea University and an M.A. in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He was also a research fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard. He is the author of six books, including Samurai and the Yankee’s Quantum Jump and Xi Jinping and Obama.
