Biography
Dr. MUN Gyongsu was born in Tokyo, Japan and obtained his Ph.D. degree from Osaka Commercial University in 2006, and is a professor emeritus of Ritsumeikan University and vice director of Ritsumeikan Asia-Japan Research Organization. He graduated from Department of Political Science, Chuo University in 1977 and obtained his Master's degree from Hosei University graduate school. He joined the faculty of the College of International Relations, Ritsumeikan University in 1994 and became professor of the College in 1998. From April 2013 to March 2015, he was dean of the College. He has published six books, including Korea in Moon Jae-in Era; Mourning Democracy, Iwanamishoten, 2020 (in Japanese). Chejudo 4.3 incident: The Story of death and regeneration in Tamra Island, Iwanamishoten 2018 (in Japanese). The Origin of the Problem of Koreans in Japan, Dosochulpan Moon 2016 (in Korean), co-authored fifteen books and written many journal papers.
