Biography
Hawon LEE is Diplomatic Editor of the CHOSUNILBO. He served as the Washington D.C Bureau Chief and the Tokyo Bureau Chief for almost 7 years, where he wrote numerous articles focusing on the relations between the US, Japan and Two Koreas. He organized the 5th Asian Leadership Conference as the primary director, where former US president George W. Bush (43rd) participated. He was also the main news anchor in TV CHOSUN.
He is a graduate of Korea University (BA) and Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government (MA), and was a research fellow of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. He is the author of 6 books including “Samurai and Yankee’s quantum jump”, “Xi-Jinping and Obama.”
