Biography

Admiral (ret.) Ho-Sub JUNG is a Professor, Moon Soul Graduate School of Future Strategy, KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) in Daejeon. He teaches Maritime Hegemonic competition among Great Powers. He was the 31st CNO in the Republic of Korea Navy.
He has earned his Ph.D. from Department of Politics and International Relations, Lancaster University, England in 1994. He has written widely on Korean defense policy issues, ROK-US-Japan naval cooperation, maritime security and defense issues in the Asia-Pacific region, and military technology innovation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era, contributing articles to journals such as National Defense Policy Studies (Korea Institute for Defense Analysis), and Maritime Strategy (ROK Naval War College). He is the author of a couple of books Maritime Power and US-Japan Security Relations: a US Control Measures against Japan (Seoul: Korea Institute for Maritime Strategy, 2001), US-Chinese Hegemonic Competition and Naval Capabilities (Seoul: Parkyoungsa, 2021).
