Biography

XIE Dingyuan was graduated from the Department of History of East China Normal University in July 2022 and received a doctorate in world history; Postdoctoral Fellow at the Academy of History and Documentation of Socialist, and the Department of History at East China Normal University, and a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Peace and Unification Studies (IPUS) at Seoul National University. His research interests include the history of Two Korean relations, Sino-Korean relations, and South Korea's diplomacy. His representative works include “Xian Junshi Hou Caijing”: Zhongguo Dui Chao Tielu Yuanzhu Tanxi, 1950-1955 (“Military First, Finance Later”: An Analysis of China's Aid to North Korea’s Railway System, 1950-1955), 2022, “He Fa Xing De Jing Zheng”: Chao Han Ao Yun Hui Tan Yan Jiu, 1984-1988 (“Competition for Legitimacy”: A Study of Inter-Korean Olympics Talks, 1984-1988), 2023, etc.
