Biography
Chang Jin LEE received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 1992 and served as a professor from Konkuk University until his retirement in 2023.
He also served as the head of the space director of the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) from 2009 to 2011, where he designed and planned many projects related to space development and national space programs. These include space launch vehicle Nuri (KSLV-II) program, Korea Lunar Exploration program (Danuri), Chollian GEO satellite program, Advanced small satellite program, third national space development promotion planning, and Space Pioneer project program.
In 2024, he is working as an expert committee member at the Korea Space Technology Promotion Association (KASP) and helps reflect suggestions and diverse opinions on space projects and international cooperation in the space national policy.
