The 11th CEO of the Jeju Foundation for Arts and Culture, KIM Soo Yeul, former teacher, is a literary figure and has been playing a pivotal role in the field of culture and arts in Jeju as he served as the chairman of the Jeju Culture and Arts Committee, the president of the Jeju Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations, and the president of the Jeju Writers Association.
Additionally, after making his debut in 1982 with Silcheon Munhak, a quarterly, his major works include Farther Than the Moon (2021), Homo Mascus (2020), Where the Flowers Wilted (2018), and Letters from the Water (2017). For these achievements, he has received awards such as the Oh Jang-hwan Literary Award and the Shin Seok-jeong Literary Award.
