Amb. KIM Jae-shin assumed the role of the Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre in April 2024. With over four decades of diplomatic experience, he held various key positions including Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of the Philippines (2015-2018) and the Federal Republic of Germany (2012-2015), Secretary to the President for Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, and Director-General of Northeast Asia Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Korea University, and has pursued further studies at the Graduate School of Korea University in International Political Studies.
