Mr. CHOI has served as the head of Sejong City’s International Affairs Team for two years, notably fostering partnerships with Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2022 and Belfast, UK, in 2023. Mr. CHOI established the Sejong Interpreters Corps, enhancing participation in global events. During the World Scout Jamboree Crisis of 2023, Mr. CHOI facilitated a friendship program for Bulgarian Scout members, bolstering Sejong's international standing. Leveraging the benefit of Sejong City being home to the central governments and research institutions, Mr. CHOI attracted 546 foreign officials from 45 countries to Sejong for their field trip. With these outstanding performances, Mr. CHOI achieved two awards: Local Diplomacy Excellence, and Public Diplomacy Excellence.
