MOON Jae Do
Biography
MOON Jae Do was born in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province in 1959 and graduated from Gwangju Jeil High School and Seoul National University's economics department. In 1981, he passed the 25th administrative examination and entered public office as a Deputy Director of the Ministry of Energy and Resources.
After entering public office, he continued to work in the energy-industry department and grew into an energy industry-related professional administrator. He served as the head of the Industrial Resource Cooperation Office at the Ministry of Knowledge Economy in the Lee Myung Bak administration.
During the Park Geun Hye administration, he entered the Blue House and served as the Secretary of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Presidential Secretariat. In July 2014, he was transferred as the second vice minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and held the position of vice minister until January 2016.
After stepping down from the position of vice minister, he served as president of the Korea Trade Insurance Corporation, chairman of Hydrogen Convergence Alliance, and chairman of the Global Hydrogen Industrial Association Alliance (GHIAA) and is currently the representative of the Energy Valley Forum.
