Biography
Jae Young LIM was born on November 21, 1969, in Seoul, South Korea. He graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, and obtained a Master's degree in Public Health from the Graduate School of Public Health at Seoul National University, as well as a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. After obtaining his Ph.D., he served as a professor at Hallym University and Korea University.
As a research fellow, Jae Young LIM specializes in health care policies, focusing on the financial stability of public health insurance and the impact of aging populations on the economy. He has published over 50 academic papers in domestic and international journals. Currently, he is employed as a research fellow at the Gangwon Institute conducting research on the economic costs of regulation, the effectiveness of health care policies, and the economic effects of abolishing local inheritance taxes in Gangwon State.
