Hongming LIU is the Director of Carbon Market, based in EDF Beijing Representative Office. He is an expert on addressing climate change with carbon pricing. He manages work of China national ETS and Chinese voluntary carbon market, as well as the work related to industry decarbonization, including reducing emissions from international aviation and shipping. He is the observer at ICAO and IMO. He also has the specialties on industry green transition, enterprise emission reductions, and the international climate change policies and cooperations.
From 2006 to 2011, he worked on CDM projects development. After he got the master’s degree in 2013, he worked in California, US, for voluntary carbon market standards and methodologies evaluation. Hongming joined EDF in 2017. Since then, he deeply involved in China’s national carbon market related work.
