Mr. Wooyong CHUNG is currently a Professor of International Development Cooperation at Shinhan University in Korea. Prior to joining Shinhan University in 2019, he worked for 28 years at the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Korean government's leading international development cooperation organization. He worked in various departments at KOICA headquarters, including planning, budgeting, and policy, and overseas as country director in Vietnam, Egypt, and Paraguay. His last position at KOICA was as Vice President, responsible for development strategy and regional cooperation in Asia. Prior to KOICA, he was a research assistant at the Korea Development Institute (KDI), an economic think tank of the Korean government. He studied public administration (BA) and international development (MSc and Ph.D).
