Dr. Wootae Lee obtained his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Georgia. His main research interests lie in the U.S.-ROK alliance, North Korea-U.S. relations, U.S. foreign policy, and East Asia security. He was a director of General Affairs at the East Asia Association of International Studies in 2015, and served as a research professor at the Center for International Studies in Inha University before joining the KINU.
