A Better World: Seeking Ways to Cooperate to Integrate the Independent Living and Social Participation of the Disabled

Biography

SUH Haejung began researching policies related to the disabled at the Korea Development for the Disabled in 2012, and since June 2021, she has been serving as the director of the Center for Supporting Inclusion of Person with Disabilities in Society, which supports the Ministry of Health and Welfare's pilot project to support independent living for the disabled after institutionalization. The main areas of interest are the establishment of a self-reliance support system for the disabled and the development of overall policies for the disabled in the community to improve the quality of life of the disabled and their families. Currently, we are mainly conducting research and projects related to monitoring and evaluation of the pilot project to support self-reliance for disabled people in facilities and people with disabilities at home, which is being implemented at the central government level.
