Biography

Dr. Jina KIM is the Dean of the Language and Diplomacy Division at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Previously, she held the position of Chief in the North Korean Military Division at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses. She currently serves on various advisory boards, including the UN Advisory Board on Disarmament Matters as well as those of the Republic of Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of National Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force, and Peaceful Unification Advisory Council. She is the author of several books, including North Korean Nuclear Weapons Crisis and published over 50 monographs and articles in academic journals such as The Washington Quarterly, Survival, Journal of International Relations, among others. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
