Biography

LEE Sangyoul earned his Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida. Since joining the Korea Energy Economics Institute in 2008, he has primarily contributed to various policy formulations related to energy security and climate change, based on energy supply analysis and forecasts. He has served as the head of the Future Strategy Team and is currently conducting policy research on achieving carbon neutrality through the diffusion of hydrogen economy. He is also active externally as a member of the Economic Security Task Force under the National Research Council affiliated with the Prime Minister's Office, providing advisory services to various government agencies.
