Biography

Yeong NAM GUNG was born in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do Province in 1962 and graduated from Daejeon High School, a bachelor's degree in agricultural biology from Seoul National University, and a master's degree in public administration from the graduate school.
In 1985, he passed the 20th technical examination and entered public service. He mainly worked at the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Chungcheongnam-do Province Office.
In November 2016, he was promoted to Grade 1 (Senior civil servant grade, administrative officer) and he was seconded to the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Office as Deputy Governor of Chungcheongnam-do Province.
In February 2019, he took office as executive director of the Korea Asset Management Corporation, a government-affiliated agency. On March 10, 2023, he was appointed as the head of the Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency under the Sejong Special Self-Governing City Hall.
