Biography

Ambassador Chang-Beom Cho is Vice President of the World Federation of the United Nations Associations (WFUNA). He currently teaches International Relations and UN as a visiting professor at the Graduate Institute of Peace Studies of Kyunghee University. He also serves as a member of the National Unification Advisory Council as well as a member of the Advisory Committee of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea. He was Deputy Foreign Minister for Policy Planning and International Organizations, Korean Foreign Ministry. As a career diplomat, he served as Ambassador to Australia, the Czech Republic, and the Republic of Austria. Ambassador Cho also worked extensively in multilateral negotiations as Permanent Representative to the UN and International Organizations in Vienna, Governor to the IAEA, and Ambassador/Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, New York. He was a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University. Ambassador Cho graduated from Seoul National University (SNU) and studied International Law and Diplomacy at the Graduate Schools of SNU and Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
