Biography
Joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in March 1990, Mr. Nguyen Vu Tung has held various positions as follows:
■ March 1990 – December 2003 Researcher at the Institute for International Relations (IIR)
■January 2004 – April 2008 Deputy Chair, Department of International Politics and Vietnamese Diplomacy; and Deputy Director, Center for Europe and Americas Studies at the IIR
■May 2008 – June 2010 Deputy Director General of Institute for Strategic and Foreign Policy Studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, (DAV); and Deputy Director General, Policy Planning Department (MOFA)
■July 2010 – January 2014 Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Vietnam in the United States of America
