Biography

For the past quarter-century, Mr. Kim, the senior director, has been at the forefront of the humanitarian aid and development sphere, spearheading a diverse array of relief and development projects in the most challenging crisis-stricken areas. From catastrophic natural disasters such as South Asia\'s earthquakes and tsunamis to the recent humanitarian aid efforts in Türkiye, Mr. Kim has established rapid response strategies for relief and reconstruction efforts as the top leader on the ground. In addition, he has executed long-term projects that foster self-sufficiency and sustainable development in the regions by linking humanitarian aid efforts to reconstruction and recovery. As part of his work for North Korea\'s long-term development plan, Mr. Kim has also worked to establish pharmaceutical factories and operate dairy processing facilities in efforts to promote peace beyond political and ideological differences. Director Kim Sun continues to play a pivotal role in fostering awareness and a culture of giving among citizens to support various humanitarian efforts in marginalized regions worldwide. He delivers numerous lectures and publishes articles on the crucial importance of humanitarian aid and development work. With his previous experience serving as the representative for Good Neighbors International in Malawi, Africa, for about five years, he currently oversees humanitarian and development projects in over 40 countries through the International Development Department of Good Neighbors International.
