Biography
Dr. Dongsuk Kim is associate professor at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA). He specializes in African politics and security. His research area covers civil war, political violence, regime change, transitional justice, and foreign relations in Africa. He composed research articles on those topics as well as policy reports on various issues in sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining the KNDA, he worked as senior researcher at Institute of International and Area Studies, Sogang University, and taught classes at various universities such as Korea University, Sogang University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Dr. Kim studied History Education at Korea University. He received B.A. in international studies at Creighton University and M.A. and Ph.D. in political science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
