Wonbin Cho is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at Sungkyunkwan University, and he is also the director of the Graduate School of National Strategy and the Director of the Good Democracy Research Center. He earned the Ph.D. from Michigan State University, M.A. from Seoul National University, and B.A. from Sungkyunkwan University. He was an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky. He is interested in political institutions, political behavior, and the democratization in emerging democracies. He recently published New Democracy and Aurocratization in Asia (2022) and New Normal Era, New Democracy in Asia (2020). His articles appear at Comparative Political Studies, Governance, Electoral Studies, and Korean Political Science Review. Professor Cho is currently leading the Social Science Korea research project called ‘New Normal Era, New Democracy’.
