Dong Xiangrong is a senior research fellow of National Institute of International Strategy in Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (NISS,CASS) and professor of University of CASS. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Master of Law in Politics, and Ph.D in History. She worked as a Chinese member of the Committee for Future Development of China-ROK Relations from 2021 to 2022. Her works include The Historical Process of Modernization: Theoretical Discussion and Asian Practice (ed. 2021), Guide to the World States: Korea (Third Edition, coauthored, 2017), How the Koreans View China (coauthored, 2012), South Korea\'s Miracle (2009), The External Dynamics of Korea's Take off（2005）, etc. She was visiting scholar of Seoul National University and Columbia University.
