Biography
A global impact leader working at Commonwealth and United Nations level recognised for delivering business coalitions focused on women’s economic empowerment and strategic advice to private philanthropic foundations bringing transformative change to vulnerable communities around the world.
Freda is an advocate, strategist, and philanthropist with 25 years of international development experience. Her advocacy and advisory work have taken her to over 80 countries, speaking at high-level forums and walking with people and communities. She spearheads a private philanthropic foundation that provides funding for the construction of education facilities for vulnerable communities throughout the world. Freda is a board member of The Hellenic Initiative (THI) Australia and chairs the Women in Philanthropia Taskforce. She shapes global policy as Chair of the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network (CBWN) – the only Accredited Organisation on women’s empowerment recognised by 56 governments. She has been bestowed Life Membership of BPW Australia for her services as President of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (2011-2014).
