Biography
Hyunsoo YUN is Director-General of the Climate Change, Energy, Environmental and Scientific Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of Korea. Since joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997, he has developed his professional career in the areas of environmental protection (MEAs), climate change as well as international development cooperation.
He served as Director of the Climate Change and Environmental Affairs Division and Deputy Director-General for the Climate Change, Energy, Environmental and Scientific Affairs Bureau. Assuming his current position, he has successfully co-chaired the 3rd ROK-US Civil Space Dialogue in November 2022 in Seoul. He received a BA from Seoul National University and a Master’s Degree in Economics from UCSB in USA.
