Biography

Jin Soo Moon, M.D. is currently active as a professor of Department of Pediatrics and a director of the Institute for Health and Unification Studies (IHUS) in Seoul National University (SNU). He is interested in public health and preventive medicine, so he was deeply involved in the design of Korean Infant Health Surveillance Programs and National School Health Examination and Surveillance and is responsible for preparing the National Growth Chart of Korea through consultation with the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Clinically, he is an expert in pediatric gastrointestinal endoscopy, runs an inflammatory bowel disease clinic, and performs nutritional consulting in children\'s hospitals. As the director of IHUS, he advises the Ministry of Unification on health care of Korea Peninsula and focuses on training the next generation of leaders for the future.
