Sangpyo is the leader for financial services consulting practice of PwC Korea. He has been leading large scale business transformation - digital transformation, big data AI analytics, Digital marketing, and ERP based transformation for many clients in and around Korea. He also carried out transformations for insurers under IFRS17 environments – Korean Re, NH Life, Samsung Fire & Marine, and so on, He has been with PwC more than 22 years including 2 year secondment to the UK firm. In his time with the firm, he has developed a broad range of expertise around advisory consulting, and he has worked with a wide range of clients in financial services, global trading, chemical, and logistics industry sector as well as the telecommunications sector and has been supporting clients in improving finance, operations and IT effectiveness for leading companies in Korea.
Prior to joining PwC, Sangpyo worked as a consultant for the Daewoo Corporation to implement its IT strategy internationally. He carried out several Finance and IT projects in various countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Libya, Ivory Coast, Singapore, Sudan, Hong Kong, China, and the USA, during his days with Daewoo for 5 years.
