Biography

Sang-gu Nam was born in December 1968 in Gangwon-Do, South Korea. At the Graduate School of Chiba University in Japan, he studied how the memories of war were formed and transformed in Japan after their defeat. He is currently working as a researcher at the Northeast Asian History Foundation. His work focuses on the origin and development process of Korea-Japan history and reconciling history, including the Yasukuni Shrine issue. His publications include \"The Prevailing Colonial Damage - Yasukuni Shrine Problem\" (2020) and \"Korea-Japan Dialogue for Historical Reconciliation\" (Co-authored, 2020)
