Biography

Rayhan Asat is an internationally recognized human rights lawyer. A Yale Law School Fellow and Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, Rayhan was named in Vox News’s inaugural Future Perfect50 list as one of the 50 visionaries and changemakers. A committed advocate for human rights all around the world, Rayhan practices international human rights law and international criminal law and promotion of corporate social responsibility and accountability. She testified before the US Congress and parliaments in the UK, Canada, the EU, Lithuania, etc., and influenced resolutions addressing egregious human rights abuses. Before she transitioned to the human rights field, she also advised the World Bank and OECD on designing integrity business principles. Her human rights advocacy has been featured in various media outlets, including The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, CNN, Foreign Policy, and The Hill, among others.
