Biography
Dr. Min Kyung-tae is a Professor at the National Institute for Unification Education, specializing in North Korean economy and development cooperation. He is the author of several major publications, including “Seoul-Pyongyang Mega City” (2014) and “Seoul-Pyongyang Smart City” (2018). He served as a member of the Presidential Commission on Policy Planning, an expert member of the Presidential Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation, a director of the Korean Association of North Korean Studies, and an advisory member at the National Unification Advisory Council. He managed overseas projects in Samsung C&T\'s construction division and worked at Samsung Electronics for CEO & Vice Chairman’s Office, Global Public Affairs, R&D planning, and venture investment. He received a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and a M.E in Urban Design from Yonsei University, an M.B.A. from University of Oxford in the UK, and a Ph.D. in North Korean Studies (Economics & IT) from University of North Korean Studies in Seoul, Korea. The title of doctoral dissertation is “The Growth Strategy for the Korean Peninsula through the establishment of Network Economy between Seoul and Pyongyang” (2013).
