Sooseok Choi received his Ph. D. degree from the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Seoul National University, with research for the decomposition of non-degradable greenhouse gases by thermal plasma technology in 2009. He continued his research for Energy and Environment at the Center for Advanced Research in Fusion Reactor Engineering at Seoul National University, Republic of Korea, and the Department of Environmental Chemical Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan as a research professor and an assistant professor, respectively. He has worked at Jeju National University as an associate professor since 2014. His research interest includes nanocatalysts for green hydrogen production and a novel thermal plasma system for clean hydrogen combined with renewable energy.
