Biography
Dr. Hwan-Eik Cho has been Chief Executive Officer and President at Korea Electric Power Corp. since December 17, 2012. He served as the President at Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. Mr. Cho served as Director of Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd and served as Chief Executive Officer of Korea Export Insurance Corporation.
Dr. Cho was the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy. Mr. Cho is Chair-professor of Hanyang University, Ansan Campus. He holds a Ph.D. in business administration from Hanyang University.
He was awarded the Silver Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in 2014 and the Yellow Stripes Order of Service Merit in 2006. He was alsoed as the CEO of the year in 2015.
