CHOI Sang Yong is an Emeritus Professor at Korea University. He graduated from Seoul National University and obtained his MA and Ph.D. in Political Science from the Graduate School of Tokyo University. He also received the Doctor of Humanities (L.H.D.) from Rikkyo University. He served as the ROK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan during the days of President Kim Dae-jung. He served as a state advisor on the ROK Government's Foreign Affairs and Unification issues. After his retirement, he served as a Professor at the Faculty of Law at Hosei University and the Faculty of Law at Seikei University in Japan. Upon returning to Korea, he became the Chair Professor at Seoul Theological University. Professor Choi wrote numerous books and articles on Western Political Philosophy, Political Philosophy of Peace, Political Philosophy of the Mean, and Japanese Politics.
