Malapin Vanny is a participant in the 19th Youth Workshop by UNITAR CIFAL Jeju under the theme “Shaping Peaceful & Inclusive Cities of Tomorrow”, and belongs to Team Gwangju, which covers the accessibility of persons with visual impairments. The team proposed “The PVI-friendly Bus System” that serves as a tool for persons with visual impairments to navigate around the city seamlessly. As a youth changemaker, her desire to study social welfare transpired from the stigmatization that circled within people with disabilities that she personally witnessed. She believes that the study of social welfare offers numerous skills that allow her to identify potential issues in society and explore the types of approaches needed to enhance them.
