Biography
이서현은 UNITAR CIFAL Jeju 제 19차 청년워크숍 <평화롭고 포용적인 내일의 도시 개발>의 광주팀에 소속되어 있다. 포용적인 도시 건설을 위해서는 장애인의 권리 개선이 무엇보다 필수적임을 인지하고, 이를 위해 이동이 불편한 장애인들을 위한 특수회전문 개발, 유니버셜디자인 제품 제작을 비롯한 지속적인 노력을 하고 있음. 이번 제주포럼에서는 특히 시각장애인의 적극적인 포용을 위한 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 이를 위해 시각장애인들의 자유로운 이동을 지원하는 대중교통 시스템을 다각도로 구상해 1등을 수상함. 포용적인 도시개발을 위한 장애인 권리 보장에 대한 해결책을 실천하기 위해 앞으로도 적극적으로 나아가고자 함.
Seohyeon Lee is a member of the Gwangju team of the UNITAR CIFAL Jeju 19th Youth Workshop for Shaping Peaceful and Inclusive Cities of Tomorrow. Recognizing that improving the rights of the disabled is more essential than anything else to build an inclusive city, she has put in numerous efforts, including developing a special revolving door and making universal design products for the disabled. Through the Jeju Forum, she is making new efforts for the visually impaired by envisioning a PVI-friendly public transportation system that supports independent movement of the blind. Seohyeon would like to actively move forward to implement solutions to guarantee the rights of the disabled for inclusive urban development.
