
Biography
Sura Kim serves as the Director for International Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. Before assuming her post as Director on August 20, 2022, she was a Political Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Moscow. She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004 and has served in various positions such as in the North American Economic Affairs Division, North American Affairs Division, and in overseas missions in Portugal, Hong Kong, and Russia. She earned an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Anthropology from Seoul National University. She is married with one daughter.
