Biography
김수라는 현재 외교부 국제기구국 국제안보과장으로 재직중이다.
2003년 제48회 행정고시 국제통상직렬로 공직에 입문후, 2004년부터 외교부 북미통상과, 중남미지역협력과, 행정관리담당관실, 북미2과 및 주포르투갈대사관, 주홍콩총영사관, 주러시아대사관에서 근무하였다.
2002년 서울대 인류학과를 졸업하고, 2009년 미국 펜실베니아 대학교에서 공공정책학 석사학위를 취득하였다.
Sura Kim serves as the Director for International Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
Prior to assuming her post as Director on August 20, 2022, she was a Political Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Moscow.
She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004, and has served in various positions such as in North American Economic Affairs Division, North American Affairs Division, and in overseas missions in Portugal, Hong Kong and Russia.
She earned an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Anthropology from Seoul National University. She is married with one daughter.
