WOO Jung-Yeop is a research fellow at the Sejong Institute since 2017 and editor-in-chief of Korea On Point (www.koreaonpoint.org). He received his BA in Business Administration from Seoul National University, MPP from Georgetown University, and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before joining Sejong, WOO was a postdoctoral fellow at the Korean Studies Institute at the University of Southern California and a research fellow at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies from 2010 to 2017. At Asan, he served as director of its DC office from 2014 to 2016. His research interests include security issues on the Korean peninsula, the ROK-US alliance, and US foreign policies.
