Weldon Epp is the director general of the North East Asia Bureau at Global Affairs Canada. Having started at Global Affairs Canada in 1999, his past experience includes postings in Beijing, Taipei, and Jakarta, and he has served as consul general in Guangzhou and Shanghai. He holds a master's in public administration from Queen’s University and a bachelor of arts (history, with honors) from the University of Manitoba.
